December 20
Really seems like a roller-coaster lately. The past 24 hours were a flip flop of the day before. Kath and I went to bed at 11pm, after a great visit from my oldest daughter and son-in-law. The was followed by a nice mile walk with my friend Bill Rupp. Felt so good that Kath and I decided to go to breakfast at the casino. Unfortunately that did not sit well with my stomach and it revolted (nice way of saying I threw up). During the day I got sick three more times. Didn't let that slow me down though. Carl came over and we walked for a mile and a half. I visited Jeff, Celeste, and Matthew today. I guess the bottom line is that no matter what hurdles you hit, it just depends on how high you clear them! Each day it amazes me with how extremely important your family and friends are. I again want to thank my daughter, Tory, for setting up this blog. I have been amazed with how many people are checking it daily and sending comments to me. This is such a huge lift for me. I can not express this enough. Thanks to all and you all mean so much to me and my way of life. I love you all!

Dear Ron,
Just thought I'd add my thanks to Tory for setting up this blog, too. It really helps to feel connected with all that's going on in your life at this time.
Like you, I was lucky enough to have two wonderful daughters. Sarah flew in from Florida today...Britt flys in from Palo Alto Sunday. We will all be together for Christmas. Oh, yeah, Tommy is around at times since he took his finals at OSU, but he is a short timer in that he will fly down to watch the Beavers soon after we open presents.
We are very lucky to have been blessed with our children. Well, I guess our wonderful wives had something to do with that, so we ought to thank them, too.
At this time of year, let us all be thankful for the beautiful gifts that have been bestowed upon us, and also strive to maintain the positive outlook you so eloquently portray in your postings.
Merry Christmas to your and your family...
Tom
RC,
This blog is great! I'm glad to see such positiveness coming from everyone. I can't wait to be back tommorrow and then we get to watch my Devils/Beavers go Bowling to victory!
Hi Ron,
Enjoyed our visit Wed. Tell your Mom the cake was delicious, the recipe is as good now as it was 48 years ago. Just want you to know you're the only person I've walked with that can talk about finding money on a street and then minutes later actually pick up money off the street as you're walking. That's quite a talent. Take care. Mike
Ron,
Greetings from a couple of Ducks in Harrisburg! We have been keeping up on your progress with Reed and Kelly and they told us of this website. What a great idea! It is very obvious that you have lots of love and support from your family and friends - that definitely is a testament to the kind of husband, father, friend and mentor you have been to so many people. We just want you to know that you have two Ducks down here in Harrisburg cheering for your speedy recovery. Happy Holidays to you and your family. We'll be keeping track of you now on this website.
Dick and Sharon Langdon
