Eve of going back to OHSU

Tomorrow I go back for my second round of chemo at OHSU. I will probably be out of blog circulation for awhile, unless I feel a lot better than the first session. I hope that I will be awake for the Beaver game on Friday. My family will be at the hospital with me again. I really thrive on their support. It gets very lonely in the hospital room and I need their support as well as yours. Thanks again for your thoughts. Chemo is the roughest part of this journey. Together we will make it through however. It will be tough not walking while I am there, but I plan on getting right back at it when I get home again. Here's to a great new year with lots of sunny miles!!!

Hi Ron,

What a wonderful Christmas with your incredible family! I am glad you got a computer at home so you can make entries. I can just hear your loud keystroking as I did when we had adjoining offices.
We had lots of family here, 6 adults and 3 babies arrived Saturday, 4 more adults arrived Sunday and 2 more on Monday. All left after lunch on Tuesday for their other side of the family. Really enjoyed the time with our baby granddaughter!!!
Will see her again on Friday when we celebrate with my side of the family in Olympia/Tacoma.
Will be thinking of you as you start round 2, sending good vibes. Must mean it is working if it is yucky.
Take care and will look forward to reading about how you are doing. If anyone can make it through this, it is you! This too shall pass.
Love to you and the family,
~ Lynne

Hello, Ron and all the Carey Family: thanks for sharing your wonderful Christmas memories with us. Ron, you're foremost in our thoughts today as you return to OHSU. I'll be checking the blog daily in the hopes of hearing from you whenever you feel up to it again. We plan to be in Albany over the new year and would love to see you if you're receiving visitors. We're with you in thought and prayer hourly, Tina.
