To my friends, scummies, family, and all others that are interested!
I have just finished my first round of chemo and let's just say that it was not much fun. This will be short, but I did want all of you to know how much I appreciate your letters, e-mails, and thoughts. I am going to start contacting individuals via e-mail since I am finding that it is the best way. It is very difficult for me to talk on the phone and I cannot touch anyone (hug, shake hands, etc) due to the type of chemo I am receiving. So I am going to be checking my e-mails frequently and responding. However, I just wanted everyone to know how important you all are to me and how much I have enjoyed your contacting me. Please continue contacting me via this web site that my daughter has set up for me. I am a fighter and am going to beat this thing. Your comments and e-mails will be a big part of my recovery, so please keep them coming. I am very fortunate to have such a strong family and awesome friends, and I know that together we will win the upper hand! The doctors told me that the next few days I will be a little wobbly, but I will fill you in more over the next few days. I love you all and truly appreciate your concern and care! How wonderful to here from you, Ron! We will continue sending daily messages your way via the blog. I went on a brisk morning walk today and thought about you every step of the way (and that your thighs surely would not have burned like mine did at the walk's conclusion). All of us here are with you, Ron.

Ron, I'm glad Doug mentioned Griz as I'm thinking you are more like Bear Grylls from the Discovery Channels's Man Vs Wild show.Survives any conditions.Fortunately you don't have to eat any snakes or termites but you might want to give it a try.let me know what they taste like.I'm also glad to hear about your walks and other outings like Costco.Too bad there isn't a Cabelas store in the area.I would gladly meet up with you there.

Just wanted to let you know that you are loved and prayed for in our house. As recipients of both when Pete had his heart issues, I know it works. As you fight, know that we are fighting for you as well. Have a very merry Christmas!
