Saturday afternoon
Thanks to Tom Cutsforth (friend of mine since middle school) for driving up from Albany to take me for a forty-five minute walk (just like cross country days with Ralph Rudzik). Still feeling very lethagic, but trying to force myself to eat and stay awake. Went ahead and beat the inevitable loss of hair and had my wife shave me. My son, Michael, had already shaved his for me. Now both my sons and I are light of hair! Hope all of you are having a great weekend. I look forward to visiting with Reed and Kelley tomorrow (Reed student taught in my class many years ago and Kelley was a student in my freshman high school class many, many years ago. Great to have friends from all areas of my life. Finally thanks to Jefferson for watching many hours of television with me last night and helping walk me!! love you all! Ron

Professor Ron,
If you want some real fun come on over to the office and help me place the final 4 students this week! Ha! Ha! No chance! Ron, I defintely have much more respect for your Job at WOU! It was a learning experience for me! Guess "Old Dogs" can learn new tricks! Anyway, looking forward to ending this term! It's been to much like work! :) Glad your back with us! I'll hope to stop by during Christmas Break! Love Ya!

Your buddy, Glen, 'clued me in' to your blog which is so wonderful. It helps all of us who think of you regularly and send you strength and energy. It also provides a wonderful window into your spirit and the strength that you and your family are demonstrating during these challenging times.
We miss you and wish you the best.

Hello, Ron:
How wonderful to hear you so upbeat; thanks for sharing. You're in our thoughts and prayers daily (and short hair is very fashionable, you know).
Keep communicating; we all look forward to checking-in with you every morning. PS: How about planning a Team Ron Carey group walk for the spring? It would be a great way to celebrate friendship and good health!
Ron,
Tom and Betsy came by this evening and gave us the low down on how you were. They both raved about your attitude. Just want you to know that you and yours are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi Ron,
You would be proud of Glen, he's down to the last few phone calls, then we will keep our fingers crossed that nothing falls through! You are greatly missed around here!
We are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, thank you for the blog, it helps us keep in touch. I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas. I am glad to hear you are getting out and about and feeling a little stronger.
Much love to you and your family,
Sue

Kelly and I were bummed we didn't get to see you on Sunday. I knew after reading the annoying daughter post, and the fact I have an oncology nurse for a wife assured me of a butt-kicking if I decided to bring my cold down.
I'm glad you are going for walks now. Makes me feel lazy. I haven't walked 5 miles since I "forgot" to train for the Dirty Half Marathon.
Had fun watching Matt Moore Yesterday. What is it with OSU quarterbacks? They look horrible in college and then they make it in the pros. Oregon Quarterbacks look good in college but stink in the pros. (I know Carl....Joey 5 picks)
Hope you keep feeling better and I'll talk to you soon!
Reed and Kelly
