Dad had another great day. They decreased some of his meds, which is a great thing. Nothing new to report. Mom & dad will be getting a new computer in a few days, so dad will probably be posting info until his next chemo & then you're stuck w/my take on everything. If everything remains how it has been the past 48 hours, then we won't post anything (so no worries that something happened).
Dad wanted me to reiterate to everyone how much your comments (& to those of you who are having troubles w/the website - the emails you send me that I pass along) mean to him. He loves every night when I bring them over...it's the first thing he does. It's so enjoyable to watch him laugh & smile through them.
The rest of our immediate family is very thankful, as well. It's so great to know we have such supportive friends & family. It is such a relief to know we have so many willing hands & so much support & love from each of you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you & we love you!!!

hey Ronnie boy you scummie. Glad your feeling better...many of us are thinking of you each day...having read T's descriptions of your symptoms during Chemo, it struck me that you have nothing to worry about as you've actually been through this before...STRATO SUPREME! That's right, STRATO SUPREME,that other infamous concoction forced upon us by the late great BJ Wells, the house cook! We all had nausea, tremors and twitches and we're still standing after 30+ years! STRATO SUPREME didn't knock you out, nothin will! Although looking back, I'm pretty certain those salmon eggs you were producing at Koelly's wedding were definately a linguring sympton! Those baby's were SWEET (if you know what I mean, and I know you do). Glad your home ands starting to feel a bit better....Bye the way, I noticeed in the web camping photos you finally got your own sleeping bag, HA! Brought back fond but cold memories of a certain midnight hike to Long Lake where the one and only, very elusive Curtis Gowdies roam (next summer Ron!) And speaking of great places to hike, that grin on your face in the photo from Hunt's Cove suggests you'd been veiwing some of the "untamed wildlife" that roam them parts now and then (I believe Norm was the first to spot such creatures!) No binoculars needed! Well my friend, that's it for now.....hi to Kath and family. OJ
Hello Ron:
How wonderful to hear that you are at home and comfortable. You're in our thoughts and prayers daily. Do share a few thoughts when you feel up to it and the new computer is up and running.
Tina
Ron, I am loning you my tenacity for as long as you may need it. You will need to return it to me when you no longer need it so my kids do not think their mother has disappeared! If I am not fiesty as they put it, they may think I am sick or have left the building or something. Get well soon!!!!!!!
Just would like to tell Tory how awesome she is. You have grown into a beautiful young lady. A sigh of good parenting for sure!
Love you, Tenacious Tami
Hi to Ron and all the Careys! As I read all the info in the blogs from Tory, I can honestly say, I know how you feel. You are saying words you wish you had never heard before and understanding more about treatments than you ever wanted to. Staying strong as a family is the best thing you can do. We all know how strong Ron is and that he won't give up on this until he beats it! Please know that all the Lusters are praying for you! You know I think the world of your family! Take care, be strong, and God Bless you all, Darlene Lewis
Ron,
The outdoor photos on the blog have me curious as to which ridges and backcountry ski area you're at. I know Hunts Cove as I took my Wilderness Survival students there years ago. It rained all night on us. One girl wore a shower cap by the campfire! I remember one of the lads brought his fishing gear and caught a nice trout with a marshmellow. Maybe on one of your future entries you can tell me where the rest of your outdoor photos were taken. Speaking of students it was so cool to read an entry by one of my all time faves, Dar Luster. Dar, if you read this, you give me a call next time your in town! Ron, when you're out of the cancer zone(a friend of mine just passed through it and gave it that name)and want a hiking or nordic skiing buddy for a day, I'd love to get out there with ya.
Rest up and keep healing.
