Obviously dad is feeling 100% better compared to yesterday. Yeah!
I have heard from many of you (those of you that have contacted me, not naming any names, you were not the only ones) that you can't leave comments....if you go to the bottom of whatever the entry was for the day (or any day you want to comment on) & click on comments (in the white box), a little box will pop up that you type in (it may be at the bottom of all the other comments). You type what you want to say & then at the very bottom there is an orange button (go Beavs!) that says publish post now - click this.
Thank you again for everything! Those comments & cards are truly getting dad through, just as he said.

Ron,
I was thrilled to see your posting on the website! I was also amazed at the length of it, knowing your typing skills. Hee,hee. You are an amazing person! Am glad to see that you are in good hands. If you all need anything, your Sumpter family is ready for action...just holler. Love you, Linda Y.
It was great to see you e-mail and hear that you are doing better. Keep it up and this thing will be knocked out faster that an Oregon Duck Quarterback. By the way if I don't comment for a while, currently I think I am third on Oregon's Depth Chart. They needed a slow white guy to replace Brady Leaf. Hang in there Ron. Kelly and I are thinking of you.

We join everyone in saying how good it was to see your post. Good indication you are getting back on your feet. This is enough to make me smile. Then I read Reed's post and laughed out loud!
When Tory gave me my first report I put on a Lance Armstrong bracelet and plan to keep it on until you are back on the trail or in a rubber boat fishing!
We are going to Don and Helen's this weekend to put up their Christmas tree. Don is not internet connected, savvy or interested so I will print all of this and get it to them for their update. They are anxious to get more than my verbal report but I will take care of that.
Please let us know if there is anything that we could do to assist. I know you won't but if Tory monitors this, her not being the shy type, won't hesitate to suggest.
All the best and keep us up to date as strength allows!
JC
Ron, good to (hear) read your voice. Good job getting through the first round of chemo. You have an amazing family behind you. Lots of prayers and good thoughts going up for you.

Hi Ron,
Mark Madland here - the black sheep of your student teacher legacy. Sorry to hear you are having a crappy time - yuck! Hopefully you'll kick this thing quickly and put it behind you. When you're feeling better, I'd like you to see the new mini-Madland, Mia. She's just 3 months old now and is cute (when not projectile vomitting). I went Christmas shopping last weekend. The power went out at the mall, and over 20 people were trapped on the escalators. Yikes!
I'll be in touch again soon,
Mark
Ron,
I just spent an hour reading all the posts I totally fell apart when I read your entry. You are a great inspiration to me, and judging from the comments, to many other people. You ARE a fighter, and I know you will beat this. I believe in you.
I am praying for a complete healing in this situation. I can't wait to read the blog that says "God has done it." Ron, the doctors will be astonished! Keep the faith. Keep your eyes on Him and your arms around your loved ones! YOU ARE A MIGHTY MAN OF GOD!
Love you,
Jeremy Guill
Ron,
Just heard about your current challenge. I haven't seen you and Kathy for awhile, I think it was in Portland at an OEA shindig. Remember all the fun we had as student teachers at outdoor school in Albany? Just saw Mark Madland's comments. He is married to my wife's niece. And Yes, his new daughter Mia is quite a looker! Wishing you a better 2008!
Looking forward to seeing you.
