Home sweet home

Hello all!

Daddy is home!!! He was released this morning at about 7:30 am. He & mom had an uneventful drive home...no traffic thanks to MLK day. His nurse from yesterday came in early today so that they could get dad home. How amazing & wonderful is that?!?

Food...don't speak of it at this point...pretty sure it truly is a 4 letter word for dad at this time. So sorry daddy! I've been eating enough for the both of us. :) Dad & mom hit up Costco today (I know, total shocker) to walk around & to have a piece of pizza. Dad also swept up the basketball court in this tundra-like weather. The remainder of the day was spent resting/napping/watching tv.

Thanks for all the posts...dad will be enjoying them tomorrow (since he won't be on so many drugs)! Hopefully, we'll all get to hear from him first hand, shortly.

Hello Daddy!!!

I'm so excited for you & mom to be home! What a relief it must be for both of you (for so many reasons)! I'm looking forward to our walks! At least this week we won't have to worry about the rain (because every single walk we've gone on this past month, an umbrella was needed)...we may have to worry about freezing some body parts off, though.

You are amazing...I'm so proud of you & all you have endured & continue to endure. You are an incredible role model & I couldn't be more proud to have you as my dad. We truly are the luckiest family. I'm counting down the days for you until this $*@# is over with & we can once again enjoy our green pepper & pineapple pizza w/a brownie delight following.

I hope you & mom are able to relax, enjoy Costco, watch some tv, share some soda, & a walk tomorrow. I love you both very much! Thank you for being such amazing & wonderful parents.

The firing of Jay John may not provide immediate relief for your nausea, but I am certain it will have a positive effect over time!

Ron,

Welcome back, slug. Now that the nasty,$*@#y part is over you can recuperate and get back into your normal routine (Costco, walking, visiting friends, looking for money on streets, etc). Take care of yourself. Don't forget to blog when you can. We want to know how you're doing and getting along.

Dear Ron,

It seems I have been checking the website so much that I have been staring at the picture of you on the rock and wondering where you were when it was taken. It seems that the mountain behind must have been Mt. Washington. I know that because of its pointed crest. It would put you somehat south of that if I am right. Where ever it was, it looks like it was a great day. I'd like to join you there sometime if I could.

I'm glad to hear you are home and taking advantage of your usual trips to familiar surroundings.

Keep us in touch with your schedule and know that we all are thrilled to hear you have overcome another obstacle in your path to getting back to normal.

As your family says, so eloquently,
you are amazing...

Hi Ron,glad to hear you are home and finished with another dose. No more tram rides up to OHSU for a while. Is that as scary as the ski lift during the summer at Mt.Bachelor?.No snow below you,
just big rocks.I Thank your family for blog updates,I see that you swept the basketball court.Maybe you and "coach" John can shoot a few hoops out back. But he has to be carefull not to give the appearance that he is working again,as he might not get the $1.1 million De Carolis is giving him for doing such an outstanding job.As soon as your ready,we can do another weekend walk.Too bad Costco wasn't closer to your house,we could walk over there and spend a few days.take care bro.

Normal, Tom? Did you say my dad could get back to normal? Is it considered normal to run 50 miles and then after going through it wanting to run it again, and again, and again? :)

I agree, I can't wait for you to get back to your old self dad. You are amazing! Welcome Home!!!! I can't wait to see you and mom this weekend!

Ron, After being kidnapped, drugged, and poisoned all weekend I bet you are glad to be home. You have been through a lot! Rest and eat! Say, I heard that COSTCO has 96 stores in the Northwest. Have you been to all of them?Keep on battlin'. Harold
